Since its creation the Red Willow County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit has been solely donation funded. Help us continue to keep this program possible.
Our office is a full service Nebraska law enforcement agency committed to protecting the lives, property, and right of all people in Red Willow County.
Visitation is utilized by the Red Willow County Corrections and will generally be held on Wednesday and Friday between 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
In 1996 the RWCSO implemented its first K-9 Unit. Today’s dual purpose dog is certified in both narcotics detection and patrol work.
Our mission is to reduce vulnerability to hazards and cope with disasters. Knowing how to prepare, respond and recover is essential.

Through the use of this website it is our goal to provide you with the information that you need to know about your Sheriff’s Office and the services that we provide.
We are located in downtown McCook in our new facility that was opened in September of 2014. This facility houses our Sheriff’s office as well as the Red Willow Detention Center. Our office is just north of the historic Red Willow County Courthouse and “on the bricks” at 516 Norris Avenue. The regular business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except holidays.
